Inaugural Junior Open!

Introducing the Inaugural Manston Golf Centre Junior Open!

We're delighted to announce a landmark event in the history of Manston Golf Centre – our very first Junior Open!

This exciting 9-hole competition marks a brand-new chapter for junior golf at Manston, and we can't wait to welcome young golfers of all ages for an afternoon of friendly competition, great prizes, and plenty of fun on the course. Whether you're an experienced junior player or entering your first competition, everyone is welcome – no handicap is required.

The event takes place on Thursday 20th August, with the first groups teeing off from 4:00pm. After the golf, all competitors can enjoy food from around 6:30pm, followed by the prize presentation at approximately 7:00pm.

There are fantastic prizes up for grabs, including:

Lowest Gross Score (13+ age group)
Lowest Gross Score (12 & Under age group)
Nearest the Pin on all Par 3 holes
Longest Drive on Hole 7 (13+ and 12 & Under categories)
Entry is just £20 per child.

Players should bring their own golf clubs, golf balls, and any other equipment they'll need for the competition.

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable day, we're also looking for parent volunteers to accompany groups around the course. Golf experience isn't essential—just a willingness to help with safety and pace of play (although golf knowledge is always appreciated!).

As this is the first Junior Open ever hosted by Manston Golf Centre, we'd love to make it a memorable occasion and hope it becomes a fixture in our calendar for years to come. If you know a young golfer looking for a fun challenge, we'd love to see them there.
