Thursday 20th August saw the inaugural MGC Junior Open!
We were overwhelmed by the participation, with 23 attending the event!
The original plan was 9 holes on the golf course, however, due to inclement weather, plan B was put into place.
The juniors took part in a 9 hole virtual open, which saw them tackle the back 9 at Royal Lytham & St Anne's Golf Club.
The juniors all played fantastically well, with the Arthur, age 6, and Ross, aged 16 winning their age categories with scores of +1 and +8 (winning on countback) respectively.
The juniors also took part in closest to the pin and long drive challenges.
Manston Golf Centre is located in Manston on the main road into Thanet. We are 5 miles from all the Thanet towns and less than 15 miles from Canterbury, Herne bay, Whistable, Deal and Sandwich.
Plenty of parking is available on site at Manston Golf Centre.
